150.000 meters of film, 15.000 lire [Italian money, less than 145 Euro today], an old, wooden Prevost: "La verifica incerta" was born from Fifties Hollywood cinema reels sent to the “macero” (a place where silver is extracted from the film and everything else is burned). A movie made of cinema's waste products, then. Grifi and Baruchello save the film reels from the macero and reanimate them. As if to say that nothing gets created nor destroyed, but everything is recycled. Images are meant to be seen, not destroyed.
